The Spanish company Greening, specialized in corporate photovoltaic self-consumption, has closed a contract for the development of 20 MW in more than 176 solar installations located in Mexico, in addition to the 41.9 MW already under construction, as agreed last July with an important company in the food sector in the North American country. According to a press release from Greening, which does not provide the name of the company, with this second phase the Spanish company has a total of 315 solar plants with a capacity of 61.9 MW and a global investment of 52 million dollars between the two phases of the contract, which has become the largest distributed generation agreement in Mexico.
Greening Group, through its Mexican subsidiary Greening Concesiones México, signed last July the largest distributed generation contract in that country, a contract that has now been extended, but which at the time included a 15-year PPA that guaranteed the sale of the energy produced by 139 self-consumption photovoltaic installations located on the roofs of the food company’s establishments. At that time, the agreement involved the deployment of up to 41.9 MW. Now, that contract includes a second phase that provides for the development of another 176 photovoltaic installations offering another 20 MW.
